چکیده
As an innovative development of single-atom catalysts (SACs), single-cluster (SCCs) such as dual-atom have attracted considerable interest due to their excellent performance in catalysis. one the most powerful and visualizable tools, scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) has been widely applied characterization SCCs. Herein, nitrogen-doped carbon-supported FeFe CoFe, two representative examples homonuclear heteronuclear SCCs, are characterized by STEM. Furthermore, image processing program is developed analyze STEM images obtain locations atoms, well projected distances between atoms possible pairs. The dimer both CoFe exhibit a trimodal distribution, which can correspond energy-favorable atomic structures theoretical simulations. Our work offers avenue for directly revealing configurations sites SCCs via big data statistics strong

Standardless atom counting in scanning transmission electron microscopy.
We demonstrate that high-angle annular dark-field imaging in scanning transmission electron microscopy allows for quantification of the number and location of all atoms in a three-dimensional, crystalline, arbitrarily shaped specimen without the need for a calibration standard. We show that the method also provides for an approach to directly measure the finite effective source size of a scanni...

Supported metal catalysts, in particular noble metals supported on zeolites and oxides, are widely applied in large-scale processes, such as petroleum refining, petrochemical conversion, and automobile exhaust conversion. A crucial challenge in studying these catalysts lies in their complex nature, including non-uniform supports, variable sizes, shapes, and distributions of metal species and mu...

Single atom catalysts (SACs) are highly desirable for the effort to maximize the efficiency of metal atom use. However, the synthesis of SACs is a major challenge that largely depends on finding an appropriate supporting substrate to achieve a well-defined and highly dispersed single atom. This work demonstrates that, based on the density functional theory (DFT) calculation, graphyne is a good ...

Scanning probe microscopes are widely used to study surfaces with atomic resolution in many areas of nanoscience. Ultracold atomic gases trapped in electromagnetic potentials can be used to study electromagnetic interactions between the atoms and nearby surfaces in chip-based systems. Here we demonstrate a new type of scanning probe microscope that combines these two areas of research by using ...
متن کاملScanning magnetoresistance microscopy of atom chips.
Surface based geometries of microfabricated wires or patterned magnetic films can be used to magnetically trap and manipulate ultracold neutral atoms or Bose-Einstein condensates. We investigate the magnetic properties of such atom chips using a scanning magnetoresistive (MR) microscope with high spatial resolution and high field sensitivity. By comparing MR scans of a permanent magnetic atom c...
